I have been making “movie baskets” for my daughters birthday invites. I find a $1 container at the Dollar Store and buy a $5 Blockbuster gift card and then fill it with “snacks” for movies. Great way to use microwave popcorn, cheap snacks and candies that I have picked up for cheap or FREE. The kids love this!

Since my daughter and husband use ipods exclusively we usually make a cd of songs that we think fit the person. her friends love it-especially since they like oldie songs.I also reuse gift bags and will go to the dollar store and buy candy to fit in it as well.

I haven’t given many tween gifts, but these are great ideas! I love putting together baskets/boxes etc. of gifts. It always seems like you’re giving more.
