Nothing….
Yesterday I had 1 small $3 register rewards expiring. I didn’t make an effort to get there, I kind of looked to see if there was something that I might needs, I also looked to see how I could roll it into another register reward.
Ok, confession time. I don’t like Walgreens. I really want to because you can get some great deals, but it seems to always take me forever in there, and nearly every time they are out of what I was hoping to buy then making me change my game plan. I have actually been working down my RR’s. At one point I was carrying almost $15 at a time. I can’t let those expire.
HERE is an example of one of my transactions that I did and I saved a ton. That transaction took me quite a while. I had to keep getting in line, I had to run back a few times to get the correct sizes of things, but I did save. I still have not used the joint juice and the pens broke immediately, but I saved.
Our Walgreens is not close so I knew with my big rig it would cost me almost $1.50 to get there and back in gas. Now my deal of $3 has been cut in half, and I would be buying only because they hooked me with the RR.
I will also admit I was a little twitchy all the way til 11pm. I am so frugal it’s pathetic. I feel like for now I have been let out of the Walgreens cycle. I needed that break. I am well stocked and I will jump back in again sometime soon.
I kind of feel FREE not to be tied to Walgreens for a few weeks. Am I alone in this thinking or are there others that sometimes wish you didn’t have that RR or OYNO?
That’s the Finer Things in Life that I am celebrating this week. Freedom from HAVING to get in on the next deal. Go on over and see what others are celebrating this week.

With the economy the way it is, it seems like everyone is cutting back and trying hard not to spend money aimlessly on things. I think this is great. This is something that many people have needed to do for years now. But with so many blogs out there filled with all types of money saving tips, which I too will share, there comes a point where you feel guilty buying something that you truly want or enjoy, but you need to know, it's ok to splurge every now and then.

We don’t have Walgreens (or CVS!) so I don’t have to “worry” about playing the drugstore games.
