Frugal Gardening At It’s Best

I am reporting back on my lovely back yard.  I showed you back in March how my yard was bare and how I bargained for plants.  I am reporting back with nothing but success.

My family has suffered because I spend sunny days outside all day, my husband has suffered by eating what ever I throw at him on those days, but I am still proud of myself.  And besides, it’s job security for counselors right?? :)

So check out my yard now.

If you ever need to feel successful in life..plant something.  I am not kidding, I love that I can do this, I love that the yard is my canvas.

I stopped by my old house today and talked to the new owner, who is my friend, I wasn’t stalking.  I was looking through my yard,  well, her yard now.  I had no idea what I was doing at the time, so I was just dropping bulbs and plants into the ground, hoping it looked good.

I pretty much sucked at this when I first started, but everything grew.  Apparently they give you heights for a reason.  Always plant the tall things in back.  Who knew?  But in my defense, I was excited about seeing things grow, so not knowing I just threw things into the ground.  The beauty of perennials is that they can easily be moved.

So what’s stopping you?  Go throw something into the ground today.
