Today was a great day in more than one way. I went shopping…by myself. When I say that I mean without other adults having to help. It’s been 4 weeks since I did that.
All week I wanted to get to Target for their school supplies because they had some things I really wanted. Unfortunately they were pretty picked over. That’s ok I got a few things, for instance:
Composition Notebooks 25¢
Spiral Notebooks w/plastic covers $1
If you read my previous post you will see that I am slowly getting what my kids need for school.
I also saw Pantene on sale so I did this
2 -Pantene Restore Hair Spray $3.49
2- Pantene Beautiful Length
used 2- B1G1 from Parade 6/27
used 2- $2 off from Parade 6/27
use 2-$1 off Target coupon
Final price 98¢ for all 4
The Suave Professionals was FREE because I signed up to get a coupon for a FREE bottle
Satin Care $1.79
used 55¢ off from P&G 7-4 (i think)
final price $1.24 – not great, but I needed it.
My total before coupons was $21.12
My Total: $4.47

With the economy the way it is, it seems like everyone is cutting back and trying hard not to spend money aimlessly on things. I think this is great. This is something that many people have needed to do for years now. But with so many blogs out there filled with all types of money saving tips, which I too will share, there comes a point where you feel guilty buying something that you truly want or enjoy, but you need to know, it's ok to splurge every now and then.

I hope you saved your receipt because there is an Olay/Pantene rebate going on…and all that Pantene would qualify!
