What about Clothing

Very highly debated I am sure, but this is an area that I can go without spending a lot of money.  I used to love that show called The Look for Less.  I am all about that.  You can find these amazing clothes and just go to discount stores and have the same outfit for a fraction of the price.

I have heard it all.  “I like to spend money on quality clothes so they last forever.”  Well that doesn’t work for me because I like new things at different times and after I wear something so many times I am sick of it by the next year.  Or my favorite shirt last summer is no longer in style or I want something newer looking.  I personally don’t want my clothes to last longer.

What I won’t do to save money is go to the local Goodwill or Salvation Army.  I can find clothes, brand new, that are cheaper than you can find at some of these stores.  Just yesterday I was shopping at Old Navy (I am a jeans and T-shirt kind of girl) and I was buying shirts for $2.49 on Clearance.  One shirt that was not on clearance, but instead on sale was only $8.  It’s one of those super thin shirts that you wear another shirt underneath it.  So you are telling me that Nordstroms makes a better quality shear shirt than old navy?  I can’t see how.  Maybe I am wrong.  Go ahead and prove me wrong.  Anyways, after I left Old Navy I hit a goodwill because I needed an ugly Christmas Sweater for a party.  There were people there digging through this bin of shirts that had just been marked down to $1 and they were pretty bad.  I just wanted to tell them to go to Old Navy, but I didn’t.

More on this tomorrow..
