13 Tax Day FREEBIES and Discounts

Let’s take advantage of all the FREEBIES that are being offered on Tax Day.  I have searched around and this is what I have found.  Please leave a comment if you find more.  As always check your location to make sure they are participating before making a purchase.

Free ice cream. MaggieMoo’s Ice Cream and Treatery will give away single-scoop servings to customers at 200 stores in what it calls an “e-cone-omic ice cream stimulus package.”

Free sweets. Snack chain Cinnabon will give out Tax Day Bites, free bite-size cinnamon rolls usually known as Classic Bites, from 5 to 8 p.m. at its 700 outlets on tax day.

Free tacos. At its 275 restaurants in the West, Taco Del Mar will run a promotion: “Taxes Suck. Tacos Don’t.” People can register at the Taco Del Mar website for an e-mailed coupon for a free tax day taco.

Free gift cards. T.G.I. Friday’s will give Wednesday customers $5 Bonus Bites gift cards for food and beverage purchases of $15 to $25 and $10 cards for those who spend more than $25. Members of the 1,000-outlet chain’s frequent-customer program also will get double points.

McCormick & Schmick’s is offering $10.40 Dinner and drinks specials at the bar on Tax Day, and giving everyone a $10.40 certificate good for your next visit.

PF Changs is offering 15% off your meal on April 15, 2010.

Mark your calendar: On Thursday, April 15, in a promotion that evidently has nothing to do with the IRS or tax returns, Starbucks will give you a free mug of coffee when you bring in a reusable travel mug. In fact, the promotion’s all about saving trees and forests, which I applaud heartily. Good on ya, Starbucks.

Purchase an Egg McMuffin or Big Mac Thursday and get a second sandwich for 1 cent. McDonald’s Egg McMuffin penny promotion is offered from opening through 10:30 a.m.; the Big Mac one-cent deal is available from 10:30 a.m. to midnight.

Participating IHOP restaurants are offering a special deduction to cash-strapped parents. Through April 30, get a free kid’s meal with each adult entree purchase. (Here’s the fine print: Free kid’s meals available to children 12 and younger from 4 to 10 p.m. daily.) Find locations at IHOP.com.

Through Thursday, Staples will copy up to 30 single-sided (or 15 double-sided) pages of tax-related documents at no charge. Check Staples.com for locations and hours.

Office Depot stores will copy up to 25 single-sided pages of tax-related documents free. OfficeDepot.com has information, hours and locations.

Cool gear site Zazzle.com is featuring a tax-day discount throughThursday. Enter the code “TAXDAYZAZZLE” at checkout and you’ll get a 10.40 percent discount on your order.

Visit any of the T.G.I. Friday’s restaurants and receive a Bonus Bites gift card worth either $5 or $10 to use on a return visit. Members of the chain’s frequent-customer program will also get double points.

Wow, now which one will you choose.  Have fun and enjoy!!
