Stockpiling with FREE Pasta

It’s been awhile since I have showed you some good deals out there, but I have some for you this week.  This is in an effort to start stockpile shopping again, so I have things on hand.

Today I made my way to Safeway for some FREE Barilla Pasta.  It was on sale for 5 for $5.  So here is how I got it for FREE.

Buy 4 Pastas = $4
use 4 – 75¢ off coupons from 8/29 SS
use 4 safeway doubles
Final price FREE or 25¢ overage per box – if they did give you overage you could buy 5 boxes and get all 5 FREE, but it’s hard to say if they will or not.

Not knowing if I could get the overage I picked up some gum. If I got it the gum would be 39¢.  I had a coupon for B1G1 Stride gum from 5/16 SS.  Safeway had a B2G1 FREE.  I asked how that would work and she said that 2 would be FREE.  Love it.

I got my 4 boxes of pasta and 3 packs of gum for $1.39 because I didn’t get the overage, but my daughter on the other hand got the same thing for 39¢.  Different cashiers do it differently.

I have since made it back for my other 4 boxes of pasta and 4 Welch’s grape juice.  I was over charged 50¢ because they didn’t double a coupon.  When your total is 97¢ and you have 2 bags you hate to complain.  🙂

Today they actually gave me money when I left with my Welch’s. They aren’t supposed to do that.

  2. […] year ago I had more instant oatmeal than I could shake a stick at. I had cereal for days and the FREE pasta overflowed. As a lazy cook, I also had plenty of very cheap pasta sauce. Snack bars for the kids were aplenty […]
