Finding The Best Credit Card for You

Credit cards. The constant debate over whether or not you should have them continues.

Well, we have them. Not just one, but more than one. We have some that get us 5% cash back on gas and some that earn air miles.  Those are the 2 reasons we have them. We pay them off every.single.month. All while earning miles and cash.

Everyone needs to determine the best credit cards for themselves.

Here are a few things to look for when choosing a credit card.

What’s the Reward ::

  • Are you earning miles? And is it on an airline that you use the most?
  • Are the cash back points easy to earn and are they earned on things you regularly purchase?

Yearly Fee ::

  • Some places either don’t have a yearly fee or you can some times request they waive it and they will.
  • Alaska charges a fee of $60 (I think) but they give you a $99 Companion Ticket.
  • Ask yourself if the fee is worth what you are getting in return.

Interest Rates ::

  • Just in case you are not able to pay off the full amount at the end of the month know what you will be expected to pay in interest. Some are better than others.
  • If you know you can’t pay it off, look for the lowest interest rate over rewards.

Don’t just apply for any credit card. Do your homework and know exactly what you are getting and why. And then remember to use your credit card wisely.
